Skull Skates tries to represent grassroots and hardcore skateboarding in almost all it’s mandates. Nothing is more ‘grassroots’ and selective right now as professional freestyle, with it’s practically divided from the mainstream culture contest circles and homebody obsessive tendency for it’s abstract trickery. A happy Vancouver PD’s Hot Shop customer, inspired by the recent World Roundup Freestyle contest in Cloverdale, came by the store to set up a Skull Skates Christian Heise freestyle board built to spec with NOS Tracker Full Tracks, Skull Skates Kevin Harris freestyle wheels and of course the Skull Skates freestyle tail skid. Don’t forget the underside tail griptape and the 1/4″ risers to make rail stand tricks easier.
