Tucked away in the central Japan countryside, Skull Skates Japan in Toki City is always a unique experience unto itself. November 2016 found Skull Skates flounder PD knee deep in the radness. “There’s an art show the day after tomorrow and you’re a featured artist. You might want to make a piece for the show.” - Ohno. PD and Hiroshi-san cobbled together a piece using found objects entitled ‘No Pressure’.
Tora Jak hosted a traditional rice pounding / Mochi party and skate session at the Slave Bowl located a stone’s throw away from Skull Skates Japan. Powerful grinds and hardcore skating mingled with a potluck meal featuring various forms of Mochi enjoyed with hearty laughter and a universal skating camaraderie.
