Skull Skates flounder PD recently visited Pesc. Oax. Mex. and hooked up with local legend Tarzan aka Alejandro De La Torre Garcia to present an old fashioned skate session on the hill in front of Tarzan’s house. Sam Mckinlay Transworld Mag Photo
The December 1990 and January 1991 issues of Transworld Skateboarding featured articles about Canada written by Kevin Wilkins and photographed by Spike Jonze. Hot Shop manager / Skull Skates rider Sam McKinlay was lucky enough to get a full page photo (orange Jimmy’Z button-up shirt and all) while Jonze and Wilkins came through Kelowna, BC. The cool thing about the article was how many guys featured are still around skateboarding such as Anthony Hancock, Rob Boyce, Dylan Doubt, Gary Harris, Sandy Plotnikoff, etc. The 2014 Photo Annual issue of SBC Skateboard features a retrospective on the article.
